missing the bus

I have lately attempted to be more environmentally aware and financially responsible. So I am taking the bus. I think the guy who invented Ipods must have ridden the bus. Ipods are such a great way to turn off the rest of the world. I was enjoying my own private world while I was transferring buses this morning. My music tastes are pretty mundane compared to most. This week I am listening to Gordon Lightfoot, Garth Brooks, Assorted classical pieces, the cast of Wicked, and folk songs from the sixties. I am also reading the autobiography of Andrew Carnegie.

The wierd thing about autobiographies, when people write them, they always come across so noble and good. Carnegie really took advantage of this because he had two cracks at correcting what he had written, once in the late 18oos and again in 1906. Still it would be nice to believe the bs. His virtues of working hard, learn more, take advantage of opportunities, all appear to be good things. Still, wasn't this guy called a Robber Baron.

Anyhow, I was busy reading about Andrew Carnegie and was really getting into. That's when my bus drove by. Damn. But the nice thing about life, there is always another bus. After a pretty average day, I bussed home and we had some very good fish and chips. Over all, it was a pretty good day.

My foot really hurts when I get up, or if I have been sitting for a while and then get up. It is called Plantar Facsiitis so tomorrow I am off to have physio and get some treatment for it.
